I love to preach, just as I love to listen to good sermons, although recently I have been doing more the latter than the former. Because I would like to offer more support to my fellow preachers, I have begun a weekly series of short videos (think You Tube, but not quite that short) in which you won’t see my ageing face but will look at some texts and hear my take on what I think they are saying to us, to the Anglican church in New Zealand.
You can find them here, at http://www.screencast.com/users/WaiapuAcademy.
For my original inspiration, H/T to Salman Kahn of KahnAcademy fame. You don’t know about his brilliant gift to humanity? Visit his site then!
If you watch my videos, please leave some feedback!
Arohanui, Howard
Thanks for doing that Howard. I have written my Sermon for Sunday based on the Jeremiah reading and your words reinforced my thoughts and encouraged me.

Hi Howard. I have just watched one of your videos. I enjoyed it and it the way it gave background to the readings and gospels for the week. I did not hear your sermon at St James that day but I bet it was worth listening to it. I think this is a great resource for people like me – that is laypeople who want to understand more about the context of the various texts. I am sure the ministry will find them valuable too! I hope you continue with these. Christina
